Start decluttering small steps

Decluttering in small steps can be an excellent way to learn how to declutter your life and mind. Because it is the easiest to start with more straightforward tasks and work your way up to the most difficult. This method is a way to build momentum while helping you feel confident in whatever you’re doing. Whether that be entrepreneur work or just a more straightforward task. Especially when it gets tough to focus on everything at once.

Never wait to toss things out you no longer need

You may not realise this, but when I say decluttering, I mean it. If you have stuff sitting around your home that you. Know you never use. Throw it always. You’ll be grateful in the end. The reason being is because removing this amount of energy from your space can help you change. Just be getting those unwanted things out of your area can give you the boost you need. You can do this by:

  • Donating those things
  • Giving those things away
  • throwing them away if no good.

I believe this is one of the best ways to start when learning how to declutter your life and mind.

Declutter your thoughts

Our homes aren’t the only things that need decluttering from time to time. Your mind also needs to be decluttered.  You can do this by practice regular meditation, but if that, not some your into writing your thought down can also help.

You can even use meditation music to help –

Take your mind off everything

Because we as Human may have so much going on in our mind from what we see from:

  • reading too much gossip about celebrities
  • getting caught up in the negativity going on in the world
  • Watching too much tv that’s not motivating us in the right way
  • Spending too much time listening to our inner critic, telling us we aren’t good enough or even able to achieve our dreams.

This method is great to learn how to declutter your mind and life.

Reconsider your routines

Most of us don’t have a set routine in our lives, so we go where the day takes us. We need to realise that without any structure in our lives can lead it to become a bit chaotic and not productive.

This is where habits and to-do list come in handy because writing down all your weekly and daily tasks can plan out your routines.

Your Diet, Declutter it.

I would say another powerful way of decluttering your life and mind is your diet.

Consuming too much junk food and drink doesn’t give us the nourishment we need to thrive off. Junk food is good once. And while but not all the time.

I encourage you to spend time looking at how your eating and drinking and to try to eliminate the foods and drink that’s not supplying you with the nutrition you need. Replaces these with healthier options. Options that give you more energy and improve your well-being.

Decluttering your friendships

We all grow up, and as we do, we all change, it may sound not kind. But as you grow up, you realise the people who are meant to be in life and whos not. You could be spending time with people that are just bringing negativity in your life when you should be hanging around positive people. These people are people who have the same mindset as you. Getting rid of those negative people who are draining your energy can help you to gather your focus.

Reducing your commitments

Our lives can be very cluttered, often with a cluttered with things we do at home, work, with friends and families, with hobbies and more.

Decluttering your commitments can take you looking at each area of your life. Writing down all those commitments you have. This may be overwhelming and eye-opening, but it can be a massive help.

Using this method can allow you to decide on what brings value to your life and whether all the things are worth investing your time in.

Reducing your commitment, you have identified and figure out what you love the most and get rid of the ones that don’t.

Another way is learning how to say no to things can also declutter your life and mind.

Be a person who finishes things.

An organised person starts and finishes tasks they have set for themself as they go along. If you are one of those people who procrastinate and get distracted while decluttering, then stop it now.

Instead, finish off all the small task first and resist yourself from doing anything halfway. Once you know, you can do it and finish your first task. Let it and make it a habit that your finish of all your tasks.

Keep a journal

Making sure you keep a journal, this is similar to a previous point I have made, but go more into depths.  A journal allows you to write down your inner thoughts which are constantly interrupting your process of thoughts when it comes to doing tasks and getting the critical things you need to do done.

This includes:

  • whatever you are worried about
  • concerns you have about things going on in your life
  • plans for achieving the goals you have.

Decluttering your life and mind, you need to ensure you prioritise on the most important things. An endless to-do list can create nothing but a brain clutter. Learning how to Accept the fact that you can’t do everything all the time, and choosing a few things to focus on that a most important to you. Create a must-to list to help with this prioritisation and cleansing your life.

Stop Multi-tasking

Where would you begin if your house is messy? I would say start with an area that is most important – for example, kitchen, bedroom. Don’t try to do everything at once. This is not only for your physical space but for your mental space too. Push all of your mental clutter to the side and focus your attention on that task you are doing.

Remember to take time for yourself.

Remembering to take time for yourself is essential to help with cleansing your life. You can have some many things going on in your life but always remember to take time out for yourself to relax.

Let go of your past

Accepting yourself, making sure you love yourself and remember always to keep it moving. It is important to let go of all past issue you have had, negative thoughts and emotions. Removing unnecessary thoughts, fears and feeling can. Help reduce a lot of stress. Entail helping you boost your self-esteem and cleanse your mental space. Try to the only think about the positive things going on in your life, remove negativity.

A good way to start decluttering.

Share your thoughts, feeling with loved ones.

People never understand how important it is to talk to your loved ones about how you are feeling. Some people prefer to bottle up how they feel but sharing your thought others help you look at things from a fresh perspective and help you with cleansing your life.
