Deciding where to travel in Europe??
Mellieha Malta is an excellent place to start….
Mellieha Malta is a beautiful town to explore, this was just my first holiday aboard with my friend without any family. I can say it was a brilliant experience.
The sun was shining most of my trip, averaging around 20 – 22C. It wasn’t like London sun, it was a bright sun, not humid, stuffy sun like in London. The breeze was there, as well as the sun. European countries air is less sticky and polluted.
I was surrounded by the town of Mellieha with fascinating culture, narrow, steep paths and roads. As well as being located around tourist sights.
Even though Hilly paths to walk were tiring to step up and down daily, it wasn’t the worse because of the beautiful views.
This beautiful, Town-Sea view of Mellieha and its beach….
I’ll give you some minutes to appreciate how beautiful it looks…
Malta altogether consists of three islands: Malta, Gozo and the Comino –
Malta is the largest islands of the three, with cultural, commercial centre. Such as Valletta the capital city, full of world heritage, full of art and architecture.
Mellieha, malta is where I stayed which was beautiful. The sea side village is on the North of Island. In the Solana Hotel and Spa. Located near Mellieha church and its sandy beach.
If you are not really into tourist place then don’t go to Valletta, go there if you want to have a nice lunch or dinner. This was recommended to my friends and me by one of lovely local we met on our journey to another town in Malta, St. Julian.
St. Julian’s, also known as San Giljan, is located on the north of Valletta. My friends and I travelled there for the nightlife, but it’s also thriving for the different touristic activity with luxurious hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. One of the most known areas in St. Julian’s is known as Paceville, where all the nightlife happens.
Paceville is a very crowded place full of Night clubs, Restaurants, Shisha bars, and Casinos…. I enjoyed my Friday night in St. Julian’s, I preferred the shisha bars to the nightclubs because my friends and I didn’t really get into the music being played in the nightclub but prefer the chilled vibe in the shisha bar. The music was better to us in there than in night clubs, I won’t lie.

There is more than just nightlife in St. Julian’s, you can also take boat trips around Balluta bay, allowing you to capture the beautiful surrounding. Or you can Walk along the promenade which stretches along St. Julian’s all the way to Sliema, Gzira, Ta’Xbiex and Mside. Allowing you to see the breathtaking views of the sea…
Mellieha Malta – Malta’s Second largest Island – GOZO
Gozo is the second largest Island of the three, the sister island of Malta. It is a more rural, simple and culture. From the couple hours, I spent in Gozo I can tell they move ing more of a leisurely pace. The Locals are amiable and welcoming from my experience because often go out of their way to help tourist from my experience there.
In Gozo, I visited one of their locate markets and Gozo Cathedral. Gozo Cathedral is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The Cathedral itself is entirely made up of local limestone.
Mellieha Malta – Comino and the Blue Lagoon
Comino and the Blue Lagoon – Malta little paradise is right in the middle of Malta and Gozo. The Crystal-clear blue seas provides a glistening sight. The Blue Lagoon and the Crystal lagoon attract those who love swimming, snorkelling and diving with plenty of other water sports included.
The whole reason I went there was to swim but didn’t get the chances to because the beach itself was so full, which was disappointing, but I did get to dip my toes in the water. As well as taking a speed boat around to the cave and the lagoon itself to go inside them and sightsee. The caves around the Blue Lagoon is so beautiful, and the speed boat itself was so exhilarating.
The food was amazinggggggg in Malta. I cannot express how the food was delicious. This included restaurant food and the local restaurants’ that my friends, and I went too… I loved it …
All in all, the Relaxing holiday I hoped for I received. I recommend going to Malta as it was so lovely and peaceful….
I would definitely go back later on in life for another relaxing holiday… no doubt about it.
