As you may have got from my intro, Tailwind is a social media scheduling program that helps bloggers. Entrepreneurs get real-time results in a less amount of time — saving time by having a schedule for all types of social media from Pinterest to Instagram.
The Scheduling tool allows you to post at the best times for engagement with your followers. The free program will enable you to grow with other entrepreneurs in your specialisms through tribes. As well as allowing you to get more actionable analytics to help improve and make better choices to help your business grow.
The whole process is straightforward and works like this: Someone can click on a pin, this will take you the website the refers to that pin. Meaning, the better your Pinterest profile and performance of your pins, the more your new audience will get led to your website.

Finding Tribes Relevant to your Niche
The importance of this is significant because you need to take your time when looking for the relevant tribe which are equal to the niche of your blog — making sure that you pin your pins to the tribes of the same subject of your post.
This is how you find these tribes:
- Go to the Tribes section on Tailwind
- Click “Find a tribe.”
- This part allows you to type the keywords relevant to your blog and your Pinterest.
- This is where you identify high-quality tribes.
Once typed, it is best to look for the tribes that have high “Activity Level”. These Level show that tribe member shares other peoples pins frequently, as well as adding pins to that tribe. You want to make sure there is a continuous flow of new pins you share.
For example, some of the tribe you can join are free from the beginning; then there are other that you have to request access too. You may not get approved to all of the ones you request, but this doesn’t mean others won’t grant you access, so don’t be disheartened.
You need to make you follow the rules displayed for each tribe you join when the pop-up displays.
Add Pins to the different tribes you’ve joined.
Make sure you’ve installed Tailwind Chrome Extension. By adding this, you can add Pin images you find on Pinterest, and on blogs or website to your Tailwind and your Tribe Collections.
You can start adding your pins to the tribe once you’re accepted. All you have to do is head over to a blog post that contains a pin image you would like to add or even your Pinterest profile.
If you have added the Extension, you will notice and Tailwind logo at the top of your browser – Make sure you’ve signed into Tailwind. This will connect you to the Tailwindapp itself. By pressing the tailwind logo, it will allow a pop-up window to open. This will give you images displayed on the page. Select the one you want to add to your tailwind schedule and tribes.
To add this to your Boards on Pinterest, select the board names you want.
To add to the tribes you want, press “Add to tribes”, Select the relevant tribes you want the pin to be added too.
Sharing other people pins
Sharing pins is very important. Most tailwind tribes want you to follow the 1:1 re-pinning ratio. This mean for every pin you add to the tribe, you have to re-pin other bloggers pin from that tribe.
I would recommend you follow this & take this seriously. This will help you fill your tailwind schedule. Get re-pinning.
For you, to re-pin other bloggers pins, all you have to do is Select your Tribe. Find the Pins that are relevant to your niche and select your board – remember to share the pins to your most relevant board first. Just press Add to Queue.
And that’s it, let me know if you have any additional question..
